Join us August 2nd from 5pm - 10 pm in celebrating Alec Hoogland's solo show. Alec Hoogland is a potter living and working in South Bend, IN and is the owner and operator of Highland Studio and Gallery.
MICHIANA POTTERY TOUR INVITATIONAL
Friday September 6 from 5pm - 10pm we will open for the Michiana Pottery Tour Invitational. This show is a culmination of Artists who will be on this year Michiana Pottery Tour that will be September 28th and 29th with the gallery being a stop both days. You can find more info on the tour here.
TAYLOR MEZO
Taylor Mezo (she/they) is a ceramic artist from Illinois, currently living in Pittsburgh PA. She works primarily in sculptural and functional ware, using red earthenware to create vessels utilizing a mixture of wheelthrowing and handbuilding techniques. In December 2019, she graduated with her Bachelors in Fine Arts from Governors State University. Recently Taylor has participated in residencies at Penland School of Craft, the Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media, and Peter's Valley School of Craft. Taylor was recently named one of Ceramic Monthly's 2022 Emerging Artists.
Join us October 4 from 5pm - 10pm in the opening of Taylor's show.
SARA TRUMAN
Sara is an artist and educator from Paducah, KY. She graduated in 2007 from Western Kentucky University with a BFA in Ceramics and Painting. She attended the University of Florida as a post-baccalaureate student in 2008, and received her MFA from the University of Mississippi in 2012. She has been a resident artist at the Odyssey Center for Ceramics Art in Asheville, NC and LUX Center for the Arts in Lincoln, NE. After teaching at Doane College in Lincoln, NE and a one year sabbatical replacement at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, she moved to Gainesville, FL where she recently left her position as the Department Chair of Visual and Performing Arts and the Ceramics Instructor at Gainesville High School. She currently works at her studio, Studio T/M Pottery and Clay where she makes work and teaches community class.
