Fall is upon us, bringing with it cozy gatherings and countless soup-filled evenings. In this class, we’ll explore hand-built forms perfect for serving guests, savoring a warm bowl of soup, or creating a striking centerpiece for your table. While inspired by the season’s celebrations, the techniques and designs we cover will be versatile—allowing you to create pieces as themed or as timeless as you wish.

Whether you're new to clay or looking to expand your skills, this class offers a relaxed and creative environment to explore form, surface, and function. We'll also cover decorative techniques like stamping, carving, and slip application to make your pieces as beautiful as they are useful.

Come away with a personalized set of ceramic wares that will elevate your next cookout—and impress your guests! Open to ages 15 and up. This class is taught by owner and local potter, Alec Hoogland.

This is an 4 week course that will start on Thursday October 2nd and go to October 30th. Class time will be 6pm - 9pm. Payment is due in full before the start of class. There are 6 spots available.

The purchase of this class will provide you with one 12lb bag of red stoneware. Tool kits are to be purchased by the student before the start of class (We recommend the Kemper tool kit which can be purchase on Amazon or the local United Arts & Education store). Once your works are made, we will fire them and glaze them before the end of the 4 weeks.

Studio can be used outside of class hours during our open hours: Tuesday 11am-6pm, Wednesday and Thursday 11am-9pm Friday 11am-6pm, and Saturday 11am-4pm.
